The Garden of Remembrance
Giving Thanks and Planting Seeds
Begun in the autumn of 2009, The Garden of Remembrance is meant to be an ongoing project that will grow and change over the years. This space was set apart as a place separated from our primary worship space / sanctuary, where prayer and reflection can happen with particular thanks to God for those brothers and sisters who have shown us the face of Christ in their lives. Here, flowers blossom to the glory of god, and bricks are inscribed with the names of that “great cloud of witnesses,” past and present, who have touched our lives and faith.
Those Who Have Shown Us The Face Of Christ In Their Lives
The Garden of Remembrance includes bricks that New Lifers have inscribed with the names of “those sisters and brothers who have shown us the face of Christ in their lives.” This includes bricks given in honor of others who are walking with us right now in our pilgrimage of faith, and other bricks given in memory of people who rest in the Lord.
